Bachelor’s Programs in Psychology Online
Psychology is a fascinating subject to many students. In 2000, approximately 75,000 college seniors in the U.S. graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Most of these students were not actually interested in careers as psychologists, but they saw training in psychology as excellent preparation for careers in business, education, law, and other areas requiring strong critical thinking skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to write well.
Some students earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology and then find work directly related to their major. For instance, they might work as data collectors, high school psychology teachers, probation officers, or assistants in adolescent rehabilitation centers. Generally speaking though, most better-paid jobs in psychology require earning at least a master’s degree. Of course, getting a bachelor’s degree is the first step.
The following schools offer accredited bachelor degree programs in psychology through distance learning.
